My artistic journey began in my home province of Hebei, where I studied and taught art education. The foundation of my style is rooted in traditional Chinese painting, which I later deepened during my studies in Beijing.
A defining moment in my artistic development was my move to Germany. This cultural experience is reflected in the vibrancy and expressiveness of my works — an attempt to capture the emotions and impressions of this new cultural environment through painting.
My landscape impressions carry the memory of my homeland, Hebei — calm, harmonious depictions of nature, characterized by a balanced color palette. In contrast, my abstract works reveal emotional depth, enhanced by the squeegee layering technique, which creates a unique dynamic. The further development of this technique gives my works a distinctive signature and produces a complex, almost meditative effect.
The Galerie Rosemarie Bassi in Remagen has become an established part of the Rhenish, German, and international art scene. Artists, figures from society, and political actors frequently cross paths here.
